Three Injured in Stabbing at Westchester Community College; Two Suspects in Custody
VALHALLA, N.Y. — Three people were injured Wednesday afternoon in a stabbing at Westchester Community College in Valhalla, New York, prompting a major law enforcement response on campus.
Westchester County Police said they received multiple 911 calls shortly after 12:30 p.m. reporting that three people had been stabbed at the college. The victims were transported to local hospitals for medical treatment.
The stabbing was reported in the area of the Student Center. According to law enforcement sources, one victim was stabbed in the back and another suffered a stab wound to the head. The condition of the third victim was not immediately available.
Two suspects have been taken into custody in connection with the incident, authorities said. A knife was also recovered, and police said no additional suspects are being sought. Authorities have indicated there is no continuing threat to the college community.
Additional law enforcement agencies, including Greenburgh and Mount Pleasant police and New York State Police, assisted with the response and crowd control as investigators secured the area.
