Man Seriously Injured in Luton Stabbing as Police Appeal for Witnesses
LUTON, UK — A man was rushed to hospital in serious condition following a stabbing in Luton on Wednesday morning, September 16, Bedfordshire Police said.
Officers were called shortly before 9:40 a.m. after receiving reports of an injured man on Chesford Road.
Police attended the scene and the injured man was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries were described as serious.
Investigators believe the incident itself took place at around 9:15 a.m. on Putteridge Road, close to the junction with Rochester Avenue.
Bedfordshire Police said officers are pursuing several lines of inquiry as they work to establish exactly what happened and identify those responsible.
Detectives are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident to come forward. In particular, police are asking motorists with dashcam footage and residents or businesses with doorbell or CCTV recordings covering the area around the time of the stabbing to contact investigators.
